This request for Tender is for the purchase of one 3/4 ton, 4X4, crew cab pickup truck. There are optional additions to the tender, one for a hitch mounted sand spreader, suggested cap and 8 foot plow. The vendor must comply with a “no lemon policy”, ie., after three consecutive attempts to repair a recurring malfunction while under warranty, the Township, at its sole discretion, can direct the Vendor to replace the equipment on a “Like-for-Like” or “better than” basis, at no additional cost to the Township. BPS - Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays is part of the Broader Public Service of Ontario and as such is entitled to concessions (discounts) as arranged by the Ministry of Government Services under VOR: OSS-00634452. If all components are not available, then an acceptable amount will be withheld from Payment. Acceptance of the vehicle by the Township Mechanic will be required before payment term commences. The successful proponent may, within ten (10) days after being advised that they are the successful proponent, execute a contract in duplicate with the Township. A ten percent (10%) holdback will be retained until the truck is accepted by the Township of Lake of Bays, to ensure that the equipment meets the specifications within this tender package. |
